Noninvasive Prenatal Diagnosis (NIPD)
The fetus-derived cells flow in maternal’ blood vessels. Fetal DNAs separated from maternal blood can be analyzed by DNA Chip. This method is a new option in prenatal screening and testing fetal chromosomal aneuploidies. This test is safe as an advanced molecular diagnostic technique to determine fetus’s chromosome information, unlike invasive test with the risk of miscarriage such as amniocentesis.
-
Efficiency : The Fetal cells are separated primarily by the size and then separated via self-develop system using surface protein of fetal cell. The MG Flex Amplification System is a technique to amplify DNA extracted from a single fetal cell at a possible level for microarray analysis.
-
Reliability : Genomic DNA from normal cell is used as control to detect fetus’s chromosomal abnormalities. Additionally, fetal DNA will be compared with Genomic DNA from Mother’s to confirm the origin.
